Starting Fresh ... By Moving to Embergard

It's been a couple of months since I wrote about painting my Hospitaller and, since then, I've also completed the Tau Invocation of the Elements and the Outnumbered miniature of Galen and Doralia Van Denst from Age of Sigmar.

Because of this, I decided that I wanted to have a fresh start and what better way to do that than with a new direction.

A couple of months ago I purchased Warhammer Underworlds Embergard as well as the Revenant of the Realms warband collection. I had always been a big fan of the sculpts for the Crimson Court warband and when the new edition of Underworlds came out, I thought it would be a worthy acquisition, especially as it would be a nice little introduction game to play with my kids.

Unfortunately, it didn't quite work out on the gameplay front (maybe when the kids are older). However, this has left me with six warbands consisting of 29 character level miniatures to paint, a nice change of pace to all the units I've done in the last three and a bit years.

Therefore, I've decided that, for the next six months, I would change my focus and instead paint all the minis I have connected to Warhammer Underworlds.

Of course, I still have plenty of 40K to paint (and some AoS with it), but I figure that by focusing on all these characters, it would be enough of a pallette cleanser to be excited for the bigger units again.

So, let's get started ...
