Kurnoth's Heralds - Week 3

It's been a bit of a quiet week for me as I've been unable to allocate as much time to painting as I would have liked. However, I was able to make some movement as I continue Kurnoth's Heralds.
This week was washing week, as I applied all of the necessary washes to my warband.

And when I say all, it certainly felt like it was all, with only Carroburg Crimson not getting any play from my collection.

Most of my shades were used as was expected. Seraphim Sepia was used to was the Zandri Dust on the horse body, while Reikland Fleshshade covered the more human aspects. Meanwhile, Agrax Earthshade was applied to the red Armour and the bone/antlers while Nuln Oil was used to wash the harness all three minis wore as well as their hair.

Where I changed things up came after that as Coelia Greenshade was applied over all of the Leadbelcher in order to give the metal a bit of a green tint while Drakenhof Nightshade was applied over the gold in order to give it a more mystical vibe.

Lastly, lacking any Athoian Camoshade, I had to improvise. Fortunately, I had Algae Green Speedpaint which, when watered down 1:6 with Speedpaint medium, seemed to make a nice equivalent which I then washed over all of the bases with.
So now Kurnoth's Heralds are battle ready, and looking a lot better for it. It always astounds me how much better minis look once the washes have been applied, maybe reminding me that with only base paints, they do look a little flat.
